How will your stories be used
The StoryBank portal is a resource for everyone. We hope that by reading other people’s stories individuals will see that their experiences are not singular. There are others who have similar stories, and perhaps, we can find solace in witnessing the collective experience.
We aim to bring leaders to the StoryBank portal to read the stories of individuals who could be on their team, their direct report, their leader, or their board director. Reading these stories is part of the self-education journey required for leaders to build an equity-growth mindset and it allows them to do that without burdening equity-seeking employees with the task of educating them.
Senior leaders who are accountable for their organization’s DEI journey will come to learn and understand how these experiences impact their organizations. These stories are the litmus test of your recruitment, performance management, career advancement and board governance practices within organizations and industries.
